St. Mary's Regional Medical Center Recognized for Efforts to Prevent the Flu - 93 Campus Avenue, Lewiston, Maine

Staff at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center in Lewiston accepts a recognition plaque from the Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention. More than 85 percent of the hospital’s employees received a flu vaccination during the 2011-2012 influenza season.

Health care personnel are the first line of defense in diagnosing, treating, and preventing the spread of influenza. The Maine CDC and St. Mary’s support all efforts to ensure the health care personnel are kept safe and healthy, so they can do their important jobs. Vaccination of all healthcare workers protects vulnerable patients against the flu and is an important component of a patient safety program.

So, we’ve teamed up to make it easy for you to get protected this year with Public Flu Shot Clinics.   This Friday:

Auburn Mall (Center Street, Auburn)
Located near the Super Shoes Store

Friday, October 15
9:00 am to 1:00 pm
St. Mary’s/CMMC 

These flu shots include the H1N1 Vaccine

This clinic will inoculate adults, and children 4 years of age and older (who are accompanied by a parent).  Children under 4 will need to see their own physician.
