In celebration of Mother’s Day, St. Mary’s Women’s Imaging and Breast Health Departments are hosting a Mother-Daughter Mammography party. Join us on Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at 5:30 for light refreshments and raffle. Because we feel this screening is so important, we’re not limiting to moms and their daughters. If you are a woman over 40 who hasn’t had a mammogram in the past 12 months, join us! To reserve your spot, please call 777-4059.
Mammography screening is the best way to detect breast cancer in its earlier stages and saves lives yet 4 out of 10 women don’t get this vital screening.
According to the American Cancer Society, mammograms reduce breast cancer mortality by 25-30% for women ages 50-70 and 18% for women ages 40-50. Additionally, early detection gives women new options for breast-conserving therapy.
St. Mary’s Women’s Imaging is fully-accredited by the American College of Radiology.
