Love is in the air in Lewiston and what better way to celebrate that wonderful feeling than stopping by your local Winter Farmers’ Market?! This February, the Lewiston Winter Farmers’ Market will be raffling off a beautiful Valentine’s Day basket filled with sweet treats, hand-crafted goods, and unique artwork from a variety of our vendors. One lucky visitor to the market will leave with the basket, estimated at more than $75. But don’t feel bad if you don’t win, with more then 20 vendors offering an array of products, all visitors to the market have the chance to walk away with something unique and straight from the heart.
In fact, February’s market is a perfect time to visit one of our newest vendors, Terry from Terry’s Country Candy. Visitors to Terry’s stand can pick up a bouquet of hand-painted chocolate pops made with Mercken’s chocolates or talk with Terry about customizing a special order. Market goers can also pick up a bouquet of real flowers from Maplecrest Lilies where the lilies will open to reveal a lively fragrance and beautiful rose color just in time for the 14th. As always, the market will be offering delicious hot food through our Winter Market Café and, for this month, live jazz with members of Three Point Trio.
So make sure to stop by the Lewiston Winter Farmers’ Market this February and celebrate your love of locally made products.
The Lewiston Winter Farmers’ Market meets on the second Thursday of every month from 5:00 pm – 7:30 pm at the St. Mary’s Nutrition Center, 208 Bates Street in Lewiston. The next market will be Thursday, February 10, 2011.
