Congratulations to Doug Cilley and Jared Theberge who earned their certification as Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographers (RDCS) by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS). They specialize in performing Cardiac Echocardiography, commonly known as “echos.” RDCS’s take detailed pictures of a person’s heart using an ultrasound machine. The information they gather can tell a cardiologist a lot about the function of a person’s heart. Cilley and Theberge work in the Echo and Vascular Ultrasound imaging division at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center. St. Mary’s now has a complete team of Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographers. Credentials awarded by ARDMS document personal achievement of recognized professional standards and are widely accepted in the medical community by sonography and vascular professional organizations.

Thursday, October 28th, 2010Changes at a Sabattus Street Medical Practice
Tuesday, September 28th, 2010FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
There is a new name, a new provider, and new services being offered at Sabattus Street Primary Care. St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center has hired a family practice physician for their office at 693 Sabattus Street, formerly Sabattus Street Internal Medicine. Peter Beeckel, MD, will join Liana Kelly, a Family Nurse Practitioner. Dr. Beeckel has a long history at St. Mary’s, practicing medicine for 17 years at Campus Avenue Family Practice at 99 Campus Avenue.
“Moving from an internal medicine practice to a family practice means we can treat children as well as adults,” says Doug Miller, the Director of Operations for St. Mary’s Physician Network. “This broadens the scope of services we can provide to the community in this part of town.”
Family physicians are providers and coordinators of healthcare services for patients of all ages. They take care of children like a pediatrician, serve adults like a specialist in internal medicine, and perform some minor procedures.
The following are some of the medical services now available at Sabattus Street Primary Care: Family Health Care, Women’s Health Care, Newborn Care, Pediatrics, Geriatrics, Adolescent Medicine, Acute Care, Preventative Medicine, Weight Loss Assistance, Accident or Injury Treatment, Sports Medicine, Smoking Cessation, and dermatologic and other minor procedures.
